Wisconsin Dells Indoor Water Parks
Wisconsin Dells has a large variety of indoor water parks. So
many that they are
often referred to as the "Water Park Capital of the World".
Most of the well known indoor water park resorts are very large and also more
expensive. However, most of the smaller resorts are less expensive and are
a great alternative if having an large indoor waterpark at your resort is not a
priority for you.
Below is a list of the larger indoor water park resorts, followed by some of
the smaller resorts.
Indoor Waterparks in Wisconsin Dells
Kalahari Resort
-
Kalahari is currently home to America's Largest indoor waterpark and also
features an outdoor water
park. The water park has an authentic African theme and offers the FlowRider,
which lets you boogie board or surf 365 days a year. Kalahari also owns highly rated Trappers Turn Golf Course in Wisconsin Dells
and offers a shuttle service to the course.
Great Wolf Lodge - Great Wolf features a 100,000 sq foot
indoor water park entertainment area with a massive indoor water park. Their water
parks most well know feature is the 4 story interactive tree house waterfort
with a 1,000 gallon tipping bucket! They also have the Mountain Edge Raceway,
which is the nation’s first enclosed, headfirst mat race.
Wilderness Resort -
America's largest water park resort features a 70,000 sq foot indoor water park
and a 150,000 sq foot outdoor water park. The indoor water park's newest
ride is The Hurricane, Wisconsin Dells tallest indoor water park 4 person family
raft ride. They also have a 9 hole golf
course and in 2007 they will be opening their new 18 hole course.
Treasure Island Water Park & Theme Park Resort -
One of the best all around Wisconsin Dells indoor water parks. Treasure
Island features the Bay of Dreams indoor water park, an outdoor water park,
and the Mt Olympus outdoor theme
park with outrageous go karts and roller coaster rides and new in 2006, an indoor theme
park. You will have no trouble staying busy here.
Chula Vista Resort - Located on the Wisconsin
River, Chula Vista includes an outdoor water park, the Fab '50s live entertainment
show and
hundreds of acres of towering pine trees. Chula
Vista is great for those who want to
get away from the busy Wisconsin Dells tourism. In addition, opening in July
2006 is an 80,000 square foot indoor multi-level water park. Chula Vista
Resort also recently added a $2 million expansion to their Cold Water Canyon
Golf Course.
